Dr Andrew Crossland CEng FEI
Andrew specialises in turning energy systems modelling into something we can all understand and use. This includes identifying revenues, LCOE and PPA calculations, carbon reduction, energy mix analysis and design support.
His expertise has been used to help develop domestic to utility scale solar and battery energy storage projects around the world - from the UK to East Africa. This includes working with major commercial organisations and utilities to develop and identify viable low carbon energy projects.
Andrew's background is in energy storage for distribution networks, but quickly expanded into all major low carbon energy generation, wholesale decarbonisation and transport. He founded the MyGridGB platform and won the Energy UK Rising Star Award in 2017. Andrew was made a Fellow of the Energy Institute in 2020.
Mr Cliff Willson MIET
Cliff is an electrical engineer, an active member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) where he is also a volunteer mentor; a member of Energy Institute College; and is registered with the Engineering Council UK.
Cliff is currently IEC TC120 Group 2 & 4 committee member and BSi ESL/120 Electrical Energy Storage and GEL/082 Photovoltaic Energy Systems committee member and a member of a number of leading industry working groups including Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) Solar PV and Electrical Energy Storage Standard (EESS); Solar Trade Association (STA) Residential Energy Storage and Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) Industry Forum (SAPIF) Home Energy Storage.
Cliff provides independent expert witness support on various microgeneration renewable energy technologies to a number of clients including the Police and Trading Standards (TS). In his capacity as an expert witness Cliff has assessed and written numerous investigative reports and his evidence has been used in successful prosecutions against a number of companies convicted of mis-selling microgeneration equipment.
